When I Say Northern Maine I Really Mean North of I-95

Okay--so the title of my blog says that we're in northern Maine, I know.  But according to the Maine map we're actually located in central Maine.


However, as a Maine resident my whole life, it has become apparent to me that the opportunities for socialization and cultural activities are much more diverse and plentiful south of the interstate, and along the coast.

As a homeschooler the same applies.

As a secular homeschooler, opportunities are even fewer, and farther away.

And so that is why--when I say "northern Maine" I really mean: "north of I-95".
